It is a very sad thing for the community here that you are no longer moderator. This site is particularly difficult to moderate, and you have made a major positive impact since agreeing to help back in 2012. During the period when we were fellow moderators I was conscious that our style of moderation was different, and also that your style was sorely needed!...

It's been a privilege serving this community, but my current life circumstances no longer allow me to spend as much time and energy moderating this site as I'd like. As such, I'm stepping down as a moderator pro tempore. I'll still be around moderating the site as a community member (remember: this site is moderated by YOU, e.g. every member of the community)...

Just like you ask that your post not be taken as a personal attack, I ask that this rebuttal not be taken as a personal attack as that is not the spirit in which I am writing it. That being said, I am pretty sure that both of the major points raised in this post hit far wide of the mark. First off, this site has more than one active pro-tem moderator. ...

I deleted your answer as part of the migration from Christianity to Biblical Hermeneutics. I realize the target moved on you as the question was originally on a site where you answer might have been appropriate. However the question was not appropriate on that site (it should not have even been answered there). Your answer would have been fine in the ...

The crux of the biscuit: the way they treat their volunteers People offer up their time, talent, and experience to make a useful on online library, which makes SE/SO money. This is true for the content providers (answers) and mods who herd the cats to keep the Signal to Noise ration down. For that good faith effort to be spurned is bitter to see happening....

I'm upset by the direction SE is taking1, and sad to see how this direction has impacted your ability to participate,2 since you have been an excellent moderator here.3 I wish you all the best, whatever direction the Lord takes you. 1 This is the first I've read about it, but then I don't spend much time on meta; but I read your longer C.SE and also Monica'...

While I cannot answer for Caleb, I suspect that it was deleted because you do not specifically address the question about the meaning of 2 John 7. That is, you presented a good argument that Jesus will return in the flesh, but you did not continue with that to answer the question about whether 2 John 7 should be taken that way or not (which is the question). ...

I'm in a little bit on an odd place to answer this, but having been on both sides of the process, I have some insight. First, when this site graduates, you'll have a chance to elect your own moderators from the people who step up. That means you'll be free to use whatever criteria you please to pick moderators. Second, it's not at all fair to say the site ...

Let me address a couple things from a moderator perspective: I don't come to this site to harass you (or anybody else). When I do come to the site your posts don't even particularly interest me, the types of questions and topics I'm interested here are usually not the ones on your radar. That being said when I do come to the site I'm confronted with a big ...

Soldernal? You see the crap answers on this site that are never deleted. Are you okay with Caleb deleting my posts "because he can" (tenure)? I'm not Soldernal but for my own 2c I would say that the moderators (not just the diamond moderators) are doing a pretty good job trying to stem the tide of problematic posts here on BH.SE. Some "crap answers" aren't ...

The post has been edited and undeleted. I didn't realize mod-deletion does not allow undeletion. My apologies. This particular user has many egregious cases of blatant disregard for not applying the text to modern Christians and assuming the readers share his Christian faith (and should - often prescriptively). Even subtle prescriptive language is ...
